We have designed and manufactured a new “Slimline RC” small diameter RC hammer to drill to 120 metres in basement formations.
The rigs are ideal for lower cost RC Drilling in pits for grade control and sterilization operations, being compact, powerful and manoeuvrable.
Bostech can offer a RC face-sampling hammer with the ability to sample basement during a RAB / air-core program (prior to any further deep /large diameter RC program) without the need to change equipment, mobilize extra crews, provide improved surface access and with the economies of scale inherent in RAB / air-core drilling. Note that a Booster Compressor is required to run the system to its full potential.
With the development of our own RC percussion hammer we can drill holes through basement rock with all the attendant benefits and costs of a small air-core rig.
The Bostech “Slim-line RC” system can offer significant cost savings over RC performed by a larger rig while complimenting our Bostech air-core system.
This system combines the advantages of both the air-core system and the RC percussion system.
